Refused to pay fines set by court.

Despite his innocence of carrying a loaded gun in his car, and despite ample "reasonable doubt" he presented to the judge, the judge found him guilty of 4 of the 6 charges - including the gun charge! (the other 2 charges were null-proc-ed by the prosecutor). Before the judge sentenced Mike, he told her that he thought these were all victimless crimes and therefore not crimes at all, and that he would not pay any fines demanded of him. The judge ended up sentencing him to no penalties for two of the charges; a $300.00 fine for one charge, which was satisfied by his 6 days in jail*; and a 46 day stint in jail for the gun charge, 6 days of which were satisfied by time served* and the 40 remaining days were suspended for a year, meaning he doesn't have to serve them unless he is convicted of a criminal offense within the next year. It is believed that he defiance regarding paying fines enticed the judge into determining penalties where Mike would not have to pay or serve anything, yet the court wouldn't "lose face" regarding their legitimacy.

*Even though Mike only spent 4 days in jail, the court thought he spent 6.
