In the same court and with the same judge that had him arrested about a month previously for not removing his hat, Jesse refused to remove his hat in the court. He presented his constitutional argument to the same bailiffs, who told him he had to remove his hat. Then he told the clerks and they said that the judge demanded Jesse filled out a motion. Then the clerks and/or judge said that it was fine if Jesse wore his hat in court, even though no motion was filed.
