Arrested for attempting to video record in courthouse lobby.

Sam attempted to video record Dave Ridley's arraignment in Keene on April 13, 2009, but while still in the courthouse lobby (not yet in the courtroom), the court security officer pointed to a sign on the wall that said "no recording" and told Sam to stop recording. Sam verified that the sign was the court's only basis for not allowing recording, then pointed out that the sign was not a valid order because no judge had signed it. The security officer didn't care and police officers arrested Sam. Sam went limp and the officers physically dragged and carried him into a private room where no one could witness what was happening. Activists in the lobby then heard Sam scream out in pain yet were still not permitted to see Sam or what cruelties were being done to him. Sam was then transported to Westmoreland where he was held for the night until his video arraignment (i.e., no activists will be able to view it, nor will the rest of the public!) the next morning.
